China’s Circular Economy Promotion Law aims to create a circular economy where resources are used more efficiently, the environment is better protected, and sustainable development is actioned. The law applies the 3R hierarchy (reduce, reuse, recycle) in production and consumption cycles and prioritizes reducing resource consumption as long as it is technically feasible and economically rational.
