This procurement aimed to purchase IT equipment for 1,000 workstations in a way that supported circular supply business models. In particular, it sought to procure products and materials that can be used again at the end-of-life use phase. While it was it was discovered that the market was not ready, the province decided to purchase IT equipment and give the supplier an opportunity to develop a circular service provision where the winning supplier had to draw up an action plan within a year to get IT hardware back into the supply chain with the highest possible value.
