Five framework contracts were awarded for supplying food to 31 public colleges in the Vendée region of France in 2017. Four of the contracts were for 100% organic vegetables, fruit, dairy products, and other groceries. The final was for high-quality meat originating from producers with high animal welfare standards. Suppliers were encouraged to use a consolidation centre, which centralized deliveries and food processing, and is run by a social enterprise.
