The Municipality of Getxo in Spain aimed to reduce energy performance by modernizing three municipal sports centres. Using an innovative procurement approach, the municipality conducted a pilot and incentivized the supplier by combining a series of measures and investments in energy-saving and renewable energy into one service contract for the supply and management of energy, energy, efficiency improvements, and maintenance of the facilities.
