Procure4Circular Objectives

P4C Construction Outcomes

The greatest opportunities for circular solutions are often identified early in the pre-tender phase, where purchasing needs are initially identified and planned.

Through a collaborative process, Procure4Circular (P4C) Construction participants identified short and long-term outcomes including:

  • Harmonize Approaches: Create consistent market signals to the value chain for transition to circular construction and renovation practices
  • Scale Market Adoption: Leverage P4C to make circular procurement a leading practice for the public sector and drive market-based adoption at scale

Current Focus: Deconstruction and Material Reuse

P4C Construction participants selected public sector building deconstruction and material reuse as the initial focus of the network. In addition to waste reduction, participants are also exploring how building projects can leverage the social, environmental and economic benefits of deconstruction and material reuse through procurement.
