The Municipality of Herning trialled circular economy ideas in some of its operations, which included procurement of uniforms. The previous contract had wash and repair requirements; however, Herning looked for an innovative circular solution to reusing uniforms with this procurement. The new contract included the possibility of transferring used clothing that was still in good condition to the next agreement with repairability provisions.
